We require at least seven (7) business days advance notice on all orders. Of course, the more notice the better to guarantee your date. Usually 3-6 months in advance for weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs.
All orders must be placed by speaking with a sales coordinator either by phone or better yet in person. Because all of our cakes are custom designed, we strongly suggest that you come into the shop with photos, colors and/or as many details as possible for us to work with in designing your cake. We DO NOT accept orders via e-mail. We only see clients for wedding and mitzvah cakes by appointments. Please stop in anytime during our business hours. You do not need an appointment to come in UNLESS it is for a wedding or mitzvah.
All of our cakes are individually priced based on design. We do not have a standard price list and we do not generally quote prices via phone or e-mail. We do not quote prices of cakes on our website. Our cakes range in price from $5-20 per person, depending upon various factors such as number of guests cake will serve/ intensity of design/ flavor/ detail of sugar work etc. Clients are required to come in to obtain an exact price quote.
We take consultation appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am until 8pm. We may also be able to do a Thursday appointment, but we do not take Friday & Saturday appointments as this is ‘the day’ when we are baking, decorating, and working on cakes for our clients of that day.
When you come in for your wedding cake consultation, we will make you a complimentary tasting cake that consists of 2 cake flavors and 2 fillings (there is a list on this web-site). Additional tasting cakes may be ordered at a fee of $20 for each 2 additional cake flavors/fillings. You will automatically receive a tasting of the fondant and buttercream icings.
We do not have cakes pre-made and ready for sale. Every cake we make is custom made to order from scratch. Our studio kitchen is filled with ideas and photos which we welcome you to explore. We do not give out copies of our designs without a non-refundable deposit.
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon ordering to reserve your date and time. The remainder of the payment is due on pickup. In the event your cake is to be delivered, it must be paid in full before delivery. We do not accept payment upon delivery. Payments may be made by check, cash or major credit card.
Because all of our cakes are custom made, you may cancel your order with at least 7 business days notice of your event and you will not be required to pay the balance of the order. If your order is cancelled with less then 7 business days notice, you are still responsible to pay the balance due.
Dates and cake price quotes are held from the date of the quote or consultation until 14 business days thereafter. If we do not receive a 50% deposit within 14 days, your date and quote may become unavailable.
Delivery is available everyday of the week and may be an additional charge. This is determined on a case by case basis. We do not ship our cakes, but long distance delivery can be arranged. Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled. While it is generally not a problem for clients to transport smaller cakes, self-transporting any cake is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage that may occur once a cake has left our bakery.
Minor changes may be made up to 1-2 days in advance. Major changes in any order require at least 7 days advance notice.
We do not make special need cakes at this time. We are not a nut free facility. We assume no liability for any issue relating from the above special needs.
